PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Jim Dalle Pazze specializes in estate planning, decedent’s estate administration, and business planning. Jim is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and is a member of the Delaware, New Jersey, and D.C. Bars.
After graduating from Rider College with honors, Jim earned his JD cum laude from Delaware Law School in 1978 and an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 1981. Jim was Editor-in-Chief of his law school law review, The Delaware Journal of Corporate Law.
Before forming Herdeg, du Pont & Dalle Pazze, LLP with John A. Herdeg and William B. du Pont, Jr. in 1999, Jim was an associate at Purcell and Nelson in Washington, DC, an associate and partner at Prickett, Jones, Elliott, Kristol and Schneee from 1980 to 1995, and a partner at Saul, Ewing, Remick & Saul from 1995 to 1999. Jim has served as the Chairman of the Committee on Small Business of the American Bar Association’s Taxation Section and as Chairman of the Taxation Committee of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section. From 1984 to 1995, Jim taught Business Planning and Constitutional Limitations on State Taxation at Delaware Law School.
Jim has been married since 1981 (Janice). They are the parents of two children (Laura and Mark) and two grandchildren (Luke and Anna). Jim has been an avid scuba diver and underwater photographer since he was 12 years old and has had the good fortune to have logged over 1,000 dives all over the world and to have published underwater photographs in several books and magazines.
